It's very heart warming that you were able to do that for your dad. Hotel was amazing. Huge. The food was a bit pricey, but they had a lot to choose from and most of it was worth it.

What you forgot to mention was that the morning of your first match, KidWonder introduced himself to the famous Johnny Archer. When asked if he plays pool like his daddy, he said to the man, "I like to play balls!"

Re: Book: Here Comes Everybody

I completely agree with the 5 out of 5 rating. I think we are starting to see the "new behaviours" that Shirky is talking about, and that we are only just getting started. This is by far the best book in print about the cultural and societal shifts that we will see because of the Internet.

Re: KidWonder is 2!

It has truly been a blessing watching him grow over the last 2 years. As for the purpose of this, allowing someone to log in with their Facebook credentials potentially allows their friends to see that they've subscribed to your blog (giving you more exposure). As opposed to a Gravatar, which has no social network behind it.

Re: Say what, Chase?

i accidentally went over by $2.00 on my checking account.. i get a notice about it along with either a 32 or 35 dollar fee... in a few days i get a letter telling me there were extra charges because i did not come in within four or five days to take care of charges... i got the letter one day after the notice was to have been paid... so they added another fifty dollars to the charge.. i end up paying 85 dollars for a 2 dollar overdraft... we have a second account there with lots of money in it, and i asked for protection thru that account if i ever went over again...not possible... i was told i had to have a credit card issued by them to cover an over charge.. i do a little bitching all to no avail..so i accepted it... it came from office depot, for god's sake.. i did not want an office depot credit card..i paid off the first incident. something came up and i deliberatly did 50 dollars over and they put $100 on the home depot credit card... ask me if i am ticked off... i am changing banks to one that does not operate that way... i am moving to bank of america where we have several different accounts and will no longer be at the mercy of chase bank..and how for god's sake did home depot get in the picture..? no wonder the banks are failing.. what goes around does come around... the govenment is totally crooked to allow the banks to do this..do you think anyone will do anything to stop this.!!! don't hold your breath.. everyone gets their cut..the gov is probably getting kick back on it all.. nice little amount of change for them..and i have no choice whether to have a credit card or not have one..i have been told that it is illegal but i highly doubt it... any way the gov can screw us they will do it... this bail out is a total joke... the banks made 17billion two years ago on overdraft charges... when someone opens a bank and runs it the way it was twenty years ago, to the last one all accounts now with the theiving banks will leave and go to the new one. someone , somewhere can do this... i can't wait...
